When I enter a server and pick a car, I have to move the wheel ( Momo ) to each extreme, or else it's not calibrated. Once it's done, it's ok for the rest of the session. I know this is not the case in this thread, but I just came to think of it reading quoted. It CAN be a pest when I accidently enters just as a race starts and I is placed on the Grid before having a chance to move wheels to opposite locks. Result is I cannot drive this run.
Not sure it's same I experienced, but it turned out it disappeared when I went to Options / Controls, and there the top slider ( 1st one ) was set high ( like 600 ) and I took it down to 180 for a starter. It solved the problem completely, but may not be same as yours as I have little trouble understanding the 'idle' term ( LOL ) and the technical description.
My wheel does the same, and it is no fault, it is supposed to do so. It's like it comes alive when I turn on my PC, and it happened after installing som 'fix' for the spikes appearing in pedals, and the program 'warned' me in advance of this behaivor, turning full left and then right when swhitcing PC on. so nothing is snapped, I guess.
Sorry for the disturbience. It seemed I jumped to conclusions as I started the Server and opened another LFS game but could not see my server on the serverlist. I asked a friend to see if he could join, but as he did not turn up, I just guessed it was not working. All seems ok but for the Lag-thing.
Suddenly I have same trouble as Richar Thorp, my server does not show up in serverlist. I used to do it with no trouble but after P9 ( from 2 - direct to 9 ) the problem has occured. What is the solution to this- if someone could please help me ?
I seem to have experienced same. Apparently no fuel is added. I usely get a message on scrn sayin how much fuel is tanked, but sometimes nothing happens and my fuel amount does not figure up to what I expected, so that I need an extra pitstop even I had the right calculation.
Could be the new drivers solve problem. I solved mine a month ago. First I tried several of sugested solutions but ended up beeing forced to turn the whole thing around and make it stand upward to be able to use Brakes as speeder and visa versa. But after a while SAME THING HAPPENED to brakepedal. Spikes. I ended up cutting pedals wires loose from a Logishit Wingman I had lying and likewise cut the wires on Momo pedal and then I connected the wires according to collours. I eneded up with a black wire hanging loose as Momo had 5 wires and Wingman only four. It WORKS.
The VERY last thing I did, was throw the pedals out and bought a seperate ACT Labs pedals with it's own USB connection to the PC. That way I use Momo wheel, which is exellent, and Act Labs Pedals.
I feel it would be fair to warn you about a problem that MIGHT turn up, namely 'spikes' on throttle.
Many Momo owners ( and I mean MANY, including myself ) experience this after some use ( weeks ) and it starts out by loosing about 2 -5% of the topspeed when in full throttle. Very soon after that it will gradually progress and you'll end up wih a loss of as much as 40%.
When Pedal i fully pressed, don't press even harder. Take care of the pedals and you might not get this trouble.
A way to see if something is wrong, is to press the pedal with hands to bottom ... it must NOT be able to move sideways THE TINIEST BIT, if you can move it at all, problem is about to arrise, or allready have.
